Former radio personality writes a book on her iPhone and turns it into a stage play using an all local cast.
Leeshia Lee wrote her first book about growing up in one of Charleston, West Virginia’s roughest housing projects “The Woo” when drugs first hit. With no budget or funding she did everything herself to get the book published.
Wanting to show the kids in her community that anything was possible no matter where you come from and second chances start everyday. She is co-producing her first screen play with Norm Branch and using all local talent. This is a story about becoming more than a statistic and not accepting no for an answer. This play is packed with raw talent, that will tug on every emotion while showcasing life on the other side of the country roads.
